As part of the lead up to the World Basketball Festival, Nike Sportswear is connecting the Five Boroughs of New York City in a celebration of hoops, culture, and its iconic Air Force 1 sneaker. We’ve previously posted Theophilus London’s 1Love documentary segment, as he represented for Brooklyn. As part of the lead up to the World Basketball Festival, Nike Sportswear is connecting the Five Boroughs of New York City in a celebration of hoops, culture, and its iconic Air Force 1 sneaker. Nike Sportswear has chosen five ambassadors from each of the five boroughs to participate in 1LOVE, a program that includes a online documentary series, a basketball tournament, and a Manhattan block party takeover.
Brooklyn-raised rapper, songwriter and producer Theophilus London kicks it off, as the focus of the first 1LOVE episode, in which he gives a tour of the Brooklyn neighborhood he grew up in and uncovers what makes his borough unique.

Nina Sky – The Other Side EP

Twin duo Nina Sky have released The Other Side, a dramatically different follow-up to their 2004 self-titled debut. The EP features collaborations with Salaam Remi, Kidz In the Hall, Melo-X, and New York radio personality/producer DJ Yonny on a number of new tracks penned by Nina Sky. The Other Side also includes some remixes and a cover of The Cure’s “Love Song”, where the girls’ flawless vocals meld perfectly with the synth-heavy production of Kidz In the Hall’s Double 0 to recreate the classic song in a way that’s never been done before.
Starting today, August 3rd, “The Other Side” EP will be available for free download from Nina Sky’s own website http://www.ninaskyhigh.com. Following the EP release, the twins will continue with world tour dates, performing their new material.

Michael “5000″ Watts & Big K.R.I.T. hooked up to do the Chopped & Screwed version of “K.RI.T. Wuz Here” which will drop next monday Aug 9th. They have also started working on an untitled EP together that will drop in October. It will be produced entirely by K.R.I.T. & have a bunch of guest features Watts will be showcasing over K.R.I.T. production.
