Jesse Boykins III – Light To Dark (A film by Street Etiquette) (Official Music Video)
Posted by Steve-O | Filed under GFCnewyork Music, Video/Film
Jesse Boykins III & Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette collaborate to make his directorial debut of “Light to Dark” off of the #WayOfAWayfarer EP come to life. NYC sets the scene for a Wayfarer on his journey to find his true self fueled by Love.
The Afflictions I have witnessed has me on edge,
with a memory of a nightmare, a nightmare I blend,
in with realism though I’ve chizzled the dreams in which I web.
Where can I catch the falling hearts to help me make amends,
Learning forgiveness , holding on to the climate, til its ready to Reign.
The absent minded take the lead, driven blinded by what they don’t need,
Zealous query for themselves , endless worry on everyone else.
I see things different light towards the dark, culture creator I make it with my heart.

Sartorial Sounds by Street Etiquette featuring
Jesse Boykins III, Joshua Bennet, Joe Kenneth, Melo-X, Theo Martins, Mara Hruby and Rinaldy Alvarez.
“Joshua Kissi and Travis Grumbs, the dynamic duo behind the fashion blog Street Etiquette, think it’s important to remember that everyone is an artist in their own right and it’s the life experiences we encounter that provoke what we splash on our own blank canvas. With that in mind, 92YTribeca is thrilled to bring their program Sartorial Sounds—a night that blends both music and style—to our Mainstage. Street Etiquette has assembled an incredible lineup of artists that will showcase their individual talents in the realms of spoken word, rapping, singing and tap. Come dressed to impress and stay late so you don’t miss out on any of these featured performers:” All Ages are invited to attend.
See you guys there!

Street Etiquette Presents “Black Ivy” [Video]
Posted by Saint | Filed under Art, Culture, Style & Fashion, Video/Film
Our brothers over at Street Etiquette are back with another visual story. This time paying homage to the Black Ivy League:
“The Black Ivy serves as a tribute to the first black colleges that paved the way for our generation and created a common ground for hardworking, likeminded individuals. What the original Black Ivy league did for folks many years ago is what we strive to do today with individuals that inspire, motivate and spark the creativity of beings around them.”
