MeLo-X – Black Apple With Love ft. Jesse Boykins III

Acclaimed Producer, Emcee, DJ and Photographer MeLo-X is set to premiere the first release from his newly formed record label GALAX Recordings. MeLo is known around the world as being a bridge between the electronic producer world and soulful hip-hop community. “Black Apple With Love” is one of the most popular songs off of MeLo-X’s album “Mustafa The GodKing: Rise of the Merch” which was released this past spring. It features fellow singer/songwriter and frequent collaborator Jesse Boykins III, who is the face of the new “world soul” movement and was recently nominated for a Soul Train Award. “Black Apple With Love” was produced by Shamtrax who has also produced for Bow Wow, Fabolous, Foxy Brown and many more. America NU Magazine Issue #1

Check out our second magazine out of Dash Publications, America Nu Magazine. As Creative Director, I wanted to push my refined aesthetic even further to come up with something that feels classic! Between the two magazines (this and Karin + Raoul), working with Art Director David Barnett, Editor-In-Chief Raquel Horn (America Nu) and Editor-In-Chief Hassan Kinley (Karin + Raoul) was indispensable to my development as an artist. In the past 6 months my eyes have been opened to totally new art forms, aesthetics, and mediums (I plan on tackling sculpture) and I’m excited for what’s to come next. Thank you Dame, McKenzie, Raquel, Hassan, and Cynthia for allowing me to work alongside you to create these pieces of work. Check out America Nu and Karin + Raoul when you have a sec and provide your feedback.
