George Steinbrenner [1930-2010]

Yesterday, we lost “The Boss” that is George Steinbrenner.  Most likely to go down as the greatest sports team owner of all-time. The hard-nosed, controversial, New York Yankees general, lead the team to 7 World Series Titles and 11 Pennants.  While also transforming the business of baseball, leading the franchise from $10 million to a $1.2 billion behemoth, of which began by him being the first owner to sell TV Cable Rights.  He left us at the age of 80, on the day of the 81st All-Star Game.  His presence in the owners box and on the field will we be missed.  George’s legacy will be survived by his sons Hank & Hal, the preceding will most likely succeed as President/CEO of the franchise.  And his daughters Jessica & Jennifer.
